I have been busy this summer building my new fireplace at home. This thing is going to be a monster at 8ft diameter and approximately 15ft high when completed. I am building its structural shell out of concrete cylinders that were cast at work for testing concrete. The outer shell of the fireplace will be covered with round rocks when completed and the walls of the fireplace will be more than 12inches thick. The fireplace foundation took a little less than 2 cubic yards of concrete. I will also be able to cook food in this thing.
